Today as representatives of Holy Family Primary School, Aughamullan, we were invited to ‘Hill of the O’Neill & Ranfurly House’ in Dungannon to attend the Mid Ulster Eco-Schools Award Celebration. Here we were awarded for the fifth time Green Flag Status. The credit for this achievement goes to all our children, staff, parents, grand parents, local businesses and extends also to those in our wider community. At this celebration we also were awarded Ambassador Eco-School Status. This was definitely an honour as being an Ambassador Eco-School is the highest recognition that we can receive and shows that we are a school with exceptional levels of pupil leadership and whole school support which ensures sustainability is embedded in our school ethos.
