Our P5/6/7 children had a wonderful day at the RADAR Centre in Belfast today. It was a fantastic, worthwhile experience during which the children were split into teams to explore scenarios in relation to keeping safe.
The workshops focused on Road Safety, Personal Safety, Online Safety and being aware of hazards and how to deal with problems in a variety of occurrences, such as fires, crossing the road safely and keeping ourselves safe when out and about. We even got to see a real tractor, bus, train, car crash scene, hazardous homes and crossing lights.
A huge thank you to the girls at the RADAR Centre for being so knowledgeable about each aspect they were discussing with our children as well as providing such a warm welcome for us. We really hope our boys and girls enjoyed their time there but learned a few key concepts as well regarding their safety!
