We have loved exploring digital literacy in P6/7, studying films and how they make an impact. We have been studying Matilda, looking at the difference between the book and the film and how there are similarities/contrasts between both types. We worked together as pairs to study 'The Chalkboard Scene' aka 'The Third Miracle' chapter from the book, discussing the differences and similarities between them using our prior knowledge of Venn diagrams, and why the words/scenes make such an impact! We came up with some fantastic answers during whole-class feedback and we had some eagle-eyed boys and girls spotting things they never had before in the film scene! Well done everyone!
