Our P6/7s celebrated Maths Week this week by showing off their rounding skills! We used our amazing SMARTboards to play Rounding Darts to showcase how we can round larger numbers to the nearest 10, 100, 1000 and 10,000! We then combined Numeracy and P.E. by playing a rounding version of Chocolate Chip Cookie - Mrs Symington (and some lovely volunteers) shouted out a variety of numbers. If the number rounds up, the children sprinted to the right. If it stayed at the place value they were at already, they sprinted to the left! We had some tired boys and girls by the end of it as we started to get competitive with boys against girls 😃
